This unit discussed the two productive skills: speaking and writing. The unit taught how to effectively teach each skill, giving ESA examples, and breaking down the basis of each skill. It discussed potential problems students and teachers may face when learning the skills, and how to properly address each. Moreover, it provided a comprehensive list of activities and games that can be used in the classroom to teach and learn the productive skills. The most important part of the lesson was the differentiation between fluency and accuracy activities, as it is important to understand the difference due to their significance in the learning process of the students. Each type of activity takes place at a different stage of the ESA model, and requires different levels of teacher control to ensure success.
