This unit discussed the reasons for the importance of evaluation and testing of students, how it is done, and what options are present to do so. It went over methods of evaluation such as tutorials and evaluation by the students, and listed the various types of tests that are typically seen throughout a course. These include placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, and practice tests. It also discussed the use of eternal examinations. The most valuable thing learned from this unit was the various types of tests, and the uses and differences between them. They are an important part of the classroom experience, and many students are also interested in becoming prepared for external examinations, thus it is important to comprehend what each type of test consists of and what it is designed for.
