This unit was about the management of the classroom during lessons. It started talking about the tools the teacher has in the teaching of each lesson-her eyes, gestures, and voice and ways to use each one. There are three different possibilities of seating arrangements, a standard row of desks, a horseshoe shape or an individual desk arrangement and depending on the class there are advantages to each. Teacher position was also discussed and its importance varied depending on the activity or teaching stage. Lastly, the unit talked about several aspects of the class and how to control the flow, increase student talk time, build rapport with your students and behavior problems in addition to others. I enjoyed the video that accompanied this unit has it was a clear presentation of the material listed.
