When learning a new language it is important that a student learns about the grammar as well as the vocabulary so he can use the language appropriately. When planning for a lesson the teacher must think about which method to apply looking at his class? needs and looking at the language introduced. Otherwise if the language isn?t commonly used but only read in books for example, the student won?t acquire what he needs to know to communicate and practice what he?s learned. The vocabulary taught must me one that will be likely to be used around the student and in context of what they are studying. The student must understand the new vocabulary, what it means, how to pronounce it, spell it, use it grammatically and understand how to form sentences for both spoken and written language.
