In unit 18 I was taught on teaching pronunciation and phonology. First of all we know that pronunciation is not really taught to students and more likely than most ignored as there might be a lack of confidence for foreign teachers to teach it methodically and maybe English teachers just dont have the training. But, it is important to teach this in class as it gives life as it reflects feelings and personal reactions to different situations. Phonology, which refers to the study, science, analysis and classification of some the physical properties of sounds. Intonation, which in its turn refers to the variation in volume and pitch in a whole sentence. Stress in words or sentences, all are very important in regards with pronunciation.
