This unit talk about materials, first, tell me that there are two types of materials, one is authentic materials and the other is non-authentic materials. Then analysis the advantages and disadvantages of each of them. Because we cannot fully use authentic materials in classes, we need to know how to design non-authentic materials. What we should bear in mind when design it are:firstly, the materials should basically refers to the language point; secondly, it should refers to the actual mechanics of their use in the classroom; thirdly, cannot just expect students to complete the sheets by themselves; finally, the language level should be at or below students'. After that, it tells us why should we make a lesson plan and how to make it better. At last, it provides some book resources and online resources.
