This unit focuses on the two most important parts of education and learning which are the teachers and learners. First we picture out what makes a good teacher and what is a good learner? For an aspiring english language teacher like me, I hope I will always end up teaching good learners and for students who aims to learn, their expectations for their teachers are high, but there is no such thing as a perfect classroom. People came from different walks of life, with different life experience, different learning styles, some may learn fast some may take time, that is why a prompter role as a teacher is a crucial role for me. All the roles of a good teacher being addressed in this unit are all essential but I would highlight the prompter role as to my wanting to develop this role in me when I have the chance to teach in the near future. For me, it is important that the teacher has a good subject knowledge to give facts, essential information to your learners and it is also important not just to hand them the necessary information they have to know but to prompt learners to think, spark interest of your learners on topics being discussed and eventually to have them participate on the learning process. We may have a non good learner in our class, but we can make a good learner out of one, just the same with teachers, we can make a good teacher out of one through the cycle of learning and mastership.
