Unit three has provided a deep information regarding the value of the methodologies, techniques, and suggested ways. Methodology is defined as the method used in teaching students with English as foreign language. This unit offers a range of methods from the most used-PPP- to that not so popular- The Silent Way. Yet the offered information does make sense in way that each student has a unique background that would benefit from the list provided. Techniques are also provided in this unit. These techniques that were mentioned have mostly been used by an experienced teacher of the English Language. But what is striking is the points to remember when delivering the said techniques. Such as, be aware of the student level and negative feedback is not encouraged. The ENGAGE-STUDY-ACTIVATE is one to remember. Engage, also known as the motivation, is helpful to get the students engage in certain topic that your objective is related. With the samples given, it is right to say that no matter how boring the topic in English is, there is still a big possibility that the teacher could pull off a great class as long as he or she gets the students going. Then comes the Study. Study would then lead to the lesson development which would be more effective once your Engage part is successful. And lastly, Activate is the independent practice or show of how the lessons went. And then again they are all inter-connected.
