This section is important for gaining knowledge of how to create a lesson plan, but a lot of this information can actually be extremely useful in many situations. For example, I work as an actuarial analyst for an insurance company. There are a couple parts of this section that really rang a bell for me from work. These first being how important it is to keep record of what you do. To compare to the example given in this unit, many times you cannot remember exactly what you did six months ago. The best way to solve this problem is keep a record of your work, and then you have no worries. On top of this, it helps others. Whenever I have to work with something that was done by another person, it is very difficult if they do not keep record of how/why they did what they did. This makes me completely understand how it can help when someone may have to fill in your place. The second thing that hit home for me was how the longer you do the job, the easier it is to understand timing. When i first started my current job, I had a hard time estimating the time it would take me on a certain task. I also just led a team building exercise for the actuarial department. In doing so, it was very important to have an outline of topics, timing, etc. All of this information is very important, and having a structure will definitely help early on in the teaching process. I very well may be stealing the lesson plan as in this unit as a starter!
