Teach English in Lanshi Zhen - Zhanjiang Shi
I learned an enormous amount of new information. I studied the teacher?s position and movements which should be done preferably at the particular lesson stages; how to make the class well-organized depending on many factors such as how many students are there in the class, space available, types of chairs and tables etc. I absorbed a lot of recommendations about minimizing standing in the position with teachers back to the class and writing on the board. I memorized lots of techniques that could be very helpful to a teacher such as eye contact, gesture and the voice to clarify learner?s understanding of what a teacher wants from his/her learners. An efficient teacher should adapt the complexity of his/her speech to suit the level and capability of the learners. I liked an approach: ask a question and call the student?s name at the end of the question to make the whole class ?be in tonus? and that learners would not lose their concentration. I emphasized ?pairwork? in the section about grouping students because I found a lot of possibilities which will benefit students in spite of being out of comfort zone where ?all the improvements are happening?. Anyway, establishing class spirit and trying to make nice relationships between not only a teacher and a class, but also ?student-student? relationships should be nice because that will influence on studying process and students? progress.
