UNIT 19 This unit is centered on teaching different groups of people or different types of classes. The different types of classes include : Teaching beginners, Teaching individual students, Teaching children, Teaching business English for specific purpose (ESP), and teaching a monolingual and multilingual class. In order to cope with the daunting task that exist in teaching this different groups of individuals some suggestions have been made generally which greatly helps the teachers. Example suggestions for teaching children to motivate them love the subject is making use of games, pronounce slower and clearly, do a lot of repetition, use a higher pitch and exaggerated intonation and their classrooms should be very attractive. This unit also has provided ideas on how teachers should manage class discipline, rules on what teachers should not bear in mind to make teachers avoid getting into conflicts with students. Also this unit makes us to bear in mind that, when teaching English for specific purposes like one on one, in a company group, in a school group it is important to know the type of Client, what they need, need analysis and planning course which involves a written questionnaire for the clients to complete. This unit has benefited me in that, it has provided me with rules and teaching ideas on what to put into consideration when teaching different groups of classes and also managing a monolingual and multilingual class which is not very easy.
