Teach English in Beihe Zhen - Zhanjiang Shi
In this unit, the text examined various written and electronic learning materials that can be applied to business English teaching. Materials can refer to worksheets, flashcards, charts, recordings, memos, faxes or company reports. Authentic materials have been designed for use outside the classroom, but inauthentic materials have been created by teachers or educational companies as a teaching aid. Authentic materials may motivate business people, especially materials sourced from within the company, but it may not be relevant or in a suitable format. When designing inauthentic materials, the teacher should consider how the materials will be used, how will they be demonstrated and what level they will be used at. Next, the text examined the need for lesson planning. This is a working document that helps us to think about and record all aspects of the lesson in detail. The lesson plan could be printed out and referred to during the lesson, and it can act as a historical record of lessons taught in the past. This unit discussed the growth of business English and the appearance of course books to meet demand, and it?s worth noting that these books have two main approaches: a primary focus on language and grammar or a primary focus on business situations. Finally, this unit mentioned business English material on the Internet as an invaluable source of authentic materials, but care should be taken to ensure that this material is free and accessible for students.
