A big part of this lesson deals with the appropriacy of the language being taught. While it seems rather obvious that a teacher should select vocabulary suitable to the language learner?s level, I found this unit insightful. Usage frequency of vocabulary for language learners is my biggest takeaway from this lesson.When we report conditionals and statements that refer to unreal situations, some tenses and modals may change if the reported words are no longer true or are out-of-date. The five main conditionals shows us where to place a sentence. Reporting from Direct speech to indirect speech you need to also look at the tenses.
