In this Unit we can find information about teaching receptive skills. Receptive skills are reading and listening. They are as important as productive skills such as speaking and writing. We can't focus only on one of those skills that's why we need to teach everything together. Motives for reading and listening could be subdiveded into two parts: for a purpose and for entertainment. We can read and listen in different ways too - very attentively to find detailed information, and skipping some words and sentences (just to have the general idea). Choosing of texts is very important too. Teacher should select texts according to his students level and interests.
