This unit is rather informative for teachers who have little experience. Unit 10 covers the lesson planning. Planning a lesson can be very handy as it 1) creates a logical sequence of phases and activities used; 2) stands for a working document; 3) forms a record; 4) can be used in case of 'covering' or substitution. A standard lesson plan usually includes learners objectives, personal aims (for a teacher to improve), class level, topic, anticipated problems, timing, procedures, phase, teaching aids, interaction (S-S; T-S); number of students, date and observers if there are any. It is also effective for a teacher to monitor his/her lessons in order to develop.
