This unit goes over parts of speech, the various rules when transforming parts of speech, and the many exceptions to those rules. The unit briefly describes nouns, adjectives, articles, verbs, adverbs, gerunds, pronouns, prepositions and conjunctions. It is easy to take some of these rules for granted when you grow up speaking English, so it was helpful to review. Some of the rules that stood out include adding ?more? and ?most? to adjectives of comparison, instead of ?-er,? when they are longer than two syllables. This rule and others are not in my mind as a fluent English speaker but they are important to be aware of as a teacher.
