The focus of this unit was verbs in the past tense. Past tense follows the same pattern as present tense with four different forms. These are past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. Explaining these different tenses to students seems difficult, but I think that this unit will be a good resource for me in the future. The most helpful thing about this unit was the fact that it points out that all of the tenses follow the same basic pattern. I think that in the future this information will help me to prepare lesson plans on this subject in a structured way that will help the students to understand the pattern that the tenses follow.
