This unit focuses on modal auxilliary verbs and the two voices used in English ehich is the act?ve and passive voice. I learned the basic ideas to which modal can be expressed which includes: obligation, possibility/probability, permission/prohibition, ability and advice. Also through detailed sentence examples, i can ascertain wh?ch of the modal categories they fall into. I also learned that in passive voice, the object of an active voice becomes the subject of the passive voice. This is because focus is on the 'doer of an action'in the active whereas in passive voice, the focus is on the 'subject' and not the 'doer', although the sentence means the same.
