In this unit, I learned about the different parts of speech. The parts of speech include articles, nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, gerunds, prepositions, and conjunctions. I had previously heard of all these parts of speech, but I had not reviewed them in depth since high school. One of the main things I learned was the different categories within these parts of speech. For example, I learned about the types of prepositions, and the difference between definite and indefinite articles. Similarly, I learned about the five categories of adverbs. I particularly appreciated the insights into what parts of speech may be particularly difficult for students.
