This unit covered what receptive skills are and their importance as well as the best ways to teach them in and English class. It mentioned some of the difficulties that students have with these skills and the best ways to avoid them and ensure that one can engage the students and support them whilst implementing these skills. The unit gave a detailed example of a patchwork lesson using reading skills. It covered the best way to engage the students, help them understand challenging vocabulary and a fun activate lesson. I thought that this unit was very interesting as it really identified some of the key ways that students can be supported with english activities.
