Modal auxiliary verbs are important for students to learn because of their frequent use in the English language. They express obligation, requests, ability, advice, and probability. These verbs add a greater meaning to other (main) verb(s) used in the same sentence. \"May\" is one example that expresses a formal approach to the structure of the phrase. Role-play is a great way to get students involved in understanding how to form sentences using modal phrases because they can have fun while learning the structures. Different scenarios such as a doctors office, school board meeting, or parent-to-child conversation are all real-life situations where we use modal auxiliary verbs, and the students can be as creative as they wish when practicing their uses. I also feel fill-in-the-blank exercises and other writing projects help students see and practice the structure of these verbs in all of their forms, such as the present/past/future simple, continuous, and perfect. The passive voice focuses on the subject of the sentence, the person or thing that experiences an action, rather than focusing on the doer/performer of the action. We often do not know who even performs the action in the passive voice. If the agent of the action is recognised, often the use of \"by\" will indicate who performed the action. Relative (or adjective) Clauses modifies a noun through description or identification. Often times these dependent clauses are introduced by a relative pronoun, such as, \"who\
