Unit 17 taught me that there are many, many resources available for teachers of English as a foreign language, tools that can be sued to facilitate lessons, as well as provide various facets of learning distribution. It is important to remember that 'everyone learns differently' and so by providing a rotating, variety of lesson methods/distributions, a teacher is more readily going to reach all the students interest and keep them engaged, even in lessons not taught in their more understood form. For example, Student A is a visual learner, they intake/understand material best when it is delivered though visuals, pictures, videos, etc. Whereas Student B learns best through physical/hands-on work, worksheets, computers work, etc. So when teaching a classroom with Student A and B, it is a good idea to approach lessons that have both aspects, or rotate lessons to stimulate all learning types and keep students engaged day after day. Continuing on, I found that some of these 'teaching aids' are highly specified to what school system you work in, what budget the school has for such equipment, and the cultural ideas of the area you work. For example, computers are only readily available for class-wide use in areas that can afford a computer per student and where the school allows such a possibility. But my favorite part of this lesson is all of the online tools it provides, this will come very much in handy when I take my first job and need help finding good quality information.
