Teach English in Zaolinping Zhen - Yulin Shi
I am glad that I had been able to finish this unit with enough understanding of the different kinds of evaluation and test given to the students. I learned that each test has its own designed purpose, just like a placement test that is given before each course with a purpose of knowing where the students should be placed and belong. Another is diagnostic test which gives the teacher the knowledge about the student's language. It also gives clear assessment about what the students know and what they don't know. Aside from this, we also have a progress test which is very useful because it conveys the language progress of the students. It is a kind of test that is balanced and it only includes language items covered within a prescribed period. While practice test is given before the student will proceed to the general external examination which is mostly given to students of non-native English speakers.
