This unit provided an insight into the range evaluations and tests that are available to train and test a student's language proficiency. Apart from teachers being able to place and track their students' progress, it is equally as important for students to be able to understand their own level and progress. Tutorials are efficient to compile and review what the students have learned from a particular lesson. During this time it is benefits both the student and the teacher as it allows for a 2-way communication to have a guided discussion to map out the progress and to list areas of improvements and areas that need further improvements. Separately the different types of tests (placement tests, progress tests, diagnostic tests, practice tests etc) each serves a purpose to form clear evaluation techniques that will allow students to streamline their requirements for desired application of the language (for studying, for daily use, for business use etc).
