This unit examines the different parts of speech in English language. It identifies the different parts of a sentence called Subject Verb and Object (S V O) The different parts of speech this unit brings out includes Nouns, Article , adjectives, noun, verb, prepositions Gerunds and pronouns which are further divided in various types. Nouns for example have many other types which includes: common noun, proper nouns, compound nouns, abstract and collective nouns. Articles are also divided into definite articles ?The? and Indefinite Articles ?a? and ?an?. Verbs has been classified into transitive, In transitive and infinite verbs. It also expantiates on four principles verb forms which are Base form of the verb, past simple, past participles and present participle. This unit has benefited me a great deal in that it has widened my knowledge on the various parts of speech and the rules put in place to use them. Example how to use ?the? in countable and uncountable nouns. This unit also brings some basic rules for Regular verbs and irregular verbs which makes work easy for the teacher
