Unit 20 talks about different groups of English learners. For example, one differentiates between EXISTING Groups, in which students already know each other for some time, and NEW GROUPS, which, as the name already implies, consists of an entirely new class where all classmates are new to each other. Furthermore, I also learned about Warmer Up exercises and/or games, some of which can be great if the teacher starts a new English class or so, and would like to establish rapport with the students. Another topic was the USE OF NATIVE LANGUAGE(S), which suggests to use English as much as possible, while making sure that the English Level being used is appropriate at all times, no matter what the tasks or topic is. From my personal experience I can tell, that students do like to switch to their native language, and it can be difficult to have them speak in English or try at least. in this case, it sometimes really is a good idea to speak English with them. That way, they must speak and try. Conclusion: a good last unit with some helpful information. Definitely one to get back to or review in times of difficulties. ;) Thank you!
