In this unit I was exposed to a variety of teaching aids and equipment options that can be combined to deliver course material. I remember my teachers using some of the traditional tools such as the black and white boards, the overhead projector, and of course videos and audio tapes. It was good to see that the newer tools or equipment such as mobil phones, computers and websites, in addition to interactive whiteboards were explained, because these are vital tools that can be used in a classroom to successfully attract the students and deliver the course material through means that maintain the students' attention. From this unit I also learnt how to deliver information on the board. I always thought it is just important to put highlights up, and clearer the better, so all CAPITAL LETTERS is better, and that too many colors are confusing. I was corrected in my beliefs based on the principles provided for writing on the board, and when I have an opportunity to stand before a class, I have an understanding of how to map out my board notes and properly present them so the students can actually benefit from the board notes.
