In this unit, it's all about course books and lesson materials. I have learned in this unit that materials for teaching can be authentic or created. Authentic materials are not graded for levels so it should be chosen carefully while created materials are designed by the teacher to reolace ir support materuals from a course book. Thisnunit also gave some examples for created materials. I have also learned the advantages and disadvantages of using a course book and its use. In choosing a course book, we need to analyze and consider the price, availability, design(is it user friendly), methodology, skills, difficulty, syllabus (right language and progress in difficulty levels) and topic. Also, there are four different options for using a course book: omit(you can decide to omit certain lessons in the course book depending on if it's relevantand beneficial to the students but becareful not to omit too much), replace(you can replace with more appropriate materials), supplement(adding extra material to the course book to support the language point) and adapt(you can use the same material from the course book but in your own style).
