Teaching a beginner can be hard to some inexperienced people but to some teacher it is something overwhelming. There are different types of beginners: absolute beginner, the false beginner, the adult beginner, the young beginner and the beginner without Roman alphabet. We should remember some of the following techniques when we teach beginners: we need to give clear, simple instructions for them to understand it easily. We need to encourage the student to speak English so that they will be able to get used to the language. We need to avoid using their mother tongue even if we know it. We need to have a lot of patience and control our language. Teaching individual is different than teaching 2 or more student. In this case, it will just be you and the student. Teaching children need different kinds of activities that are excited fun and will enhance their curiosity. Business English is something different. In this case we are teaching people or clients that are already working in companies. I learnt from this unit on how to teach different types of people based on their English level, age and even people who are already working.
