Warmers must be short ,fun communicative games to motivate/inspire and make sure they use as much English as possible.Several ways to deal with different levels,use different materials/same material different tasks/don't do anything or what I usually do, pair stronger students with weaker ones.Large classes poses problems with involving all and classroom control. Advisable to use worksheets/pair or group work/clarity/choral repetition/group leaders and use dynamics to your advantage.The use of native language is not usually malicious but a lack of understanding and helping friends. We need to minimize the use of native language.The reluctant student can be involved by using role play/pair work/controlled practice or use a tape recorder.When you have difficulties with listening text first make sure it is not the poor quality of the tape or technical problems. Pre-teach vocabulary used.
