Teachers need ways to evaluate a students progress and language level. Three ways of doing this is through, tutorials, student evaluation and tests. Tutorial is where the teacher goes through previously covered material to see if the student understands it. Student evaluation is feedback from students from a questionnaire or discussion. They can tell the teacher which parts they are having trouble with or whether the work is too difficult for their level. There are many tests and each has a specific purpose. Tests include, placement, progress, diagnostic and practice.
