There are many different ways in which a teacher can make the learning experience more interesting and memorable for students. These are things used in the classroom to aid teaching. There is a wide range of equipment and teaching aids such as white/black board, interactive whiteboard, overhead projector, visual aids, worksheets and work cards, cassette recorder, CD player, videos and DVDs, video camera, dictionaries, course books, resource books, photocopier, computers, and online resources. All of which when applied in the lesson must be carefully planned before the class. Some of the teaching equipment might be complicated to operate, therefore it is very important to test if the lesson works prior to the class and have a back up plan should the equipment failed to work. Proper use of teaching equipment helps the teacher to clarify the subject matter more easily while students can learn better when they are motivated properly through different teaching aids. After studying this unit, I find that too many equipment can serve to confuse the class. It is best to stick to few equipment following one theme, example or case study.
