This unit talks about several special groups, which include beginners, young English learners, English learners in the industry, as well as multilingual and monolingual groups, that an instructor may encounter when teaching English as a second language. The dos and don'ts when working with each special group is discussed in the unit. The purpose and importance of conducting a needs analysis particularly for people who are learning English for business purposes are also discussed in this unit. The sample needs analysis is helpful so the instructor know what kinds of question to include. The sample questions in the needs analysis can also be modified to tailor to the specific group that the instructor is working with. I find \"Remember that you are not an expert in the client's field of activity or business, but that you are an expert in the English language, and the teaching of it\" a very powerful statement. Saying this statement to myself makes me feel confident as a TESOL instructor and reminds me how much I enjoy teaching English as a second language, whether it to business people, young learners, or college-bound students.
