This unit introduces the teaching of productive skills which are speaking and writing. It is made clear that writing is the skill that is mostly neglected in a classroom, however it is just as Important. Speaking helps students practice what they have learned as well as allow them to show fluency. Various activities of creative speaking are used to arouse the students interest, and to encourage communication. In this unit writing skills and the different aspects that it includes are introduced. The various aspects include handwriting, spelling, and punctuation. There are many of the same principles that apply to both the hand writing and speaking activities. The 'ESA' Methodology is the key to teaching and is clearly used in most lessons in its various forms. Games are an important element to make the classroom fun and interesting. The number of games that can be used to engage students are immense. In a classroom the various components that are being introduced will all be used at some point. A teacher will do whatever necessary to get the point across. Whatever the concept or activity student success in English is the goal always.
