Strategies for teaching beginners, individuals, children, business persons, and monolingual and multilingual classes were discussed in this unit. Regardless of the type of class, teachers must cater to the needs of their students. Satisfying individual needs of business persons could prove quite a challenge, especially when the students are at varying language levels, have different job functions and represent diverse companies. I think the \"Needs Negotiation\" session is an excellent way to involve these adult students in determining the language priorities so that all of them have at least some of their objectives met. However, I acknowledge that some students may be reluctant or unable to articulate their needs and may require coaxing or intervention. Teaching children always demands great skill, creativity and patience, and this may be more so with foreign language learners. Children's short attention span, high energy level and potential for disruptive behaviour make them a challenging group to teach. However, I certainly understand how their curiosity and capacity to absorb language make teaching them a rewarding experience.
