In this unit, we again covered not the knowledge of the material in teaching, but the methodology behind, which I almost find even more interesting. We learned the techniques for teaching vocabulary, grammar, and functions. Functions, a new term for me, I learned is just that, the function of the language; what it's used for, whether it be for agreeing, or inviting, or suggesting, etc. Another important topic which seems kind of obvious at first but may not be was the appropriacy of the vocabulary taught. The words that these students will be most likely to use in a normal conversation setting are the most vital to teach them.
