This unit focuses on different ways and means of evaluating or assessing students' levels/progress in understanding English as a foreign language. It also takes a look at some available external examinations that a teacher can prepare his students for if there is need. At the end of this lesson, I have been able to learn different techniques of testing students based on their level and needs. For instance, I know the kind of questions to use to test a student (or students) who just wants to start a lesson in English as a foreign language(i.e placement tests) as opposed to questions in diagnostic, progress and practice tests.
