Prior to this lesson, I did not know very much about lesson planning and how to go about doing it, so I was eager to learn the components of it. I think that it was important that the unit mentioned doing a self-evaluation form after the lesson has been completed. I did not consider this as a step, but after reading about it, it seems like a vital and helpful step in the lesson planning process. If one completes a self-evaluation, it will allow the teacher to go back and fix parts of the lesson that might not have gone as smoothly as they would have wanted or make notes about what could be done to enhance the lesson next time.
