This was a difficult but somewhat interesting unit. It's something I've never studied or looked into closely before. The unit covered intonation and stress and techniques for teaching them. Although it's intuitive as a native speaker, it was good for me to have it explained to me in an academic sense, so that when asked I can give the answer to a more advanced student. It also discussed to phonemic symbols and touched on their purpose, something I've never looked into before. The unit also talked about place of articulation, where in your mouth you make the sound, and manner of sound, how you make the sound in your mouth.
