I found this unit very helpful because I know from talking to teachers in the past that the course book is a life saver for some and a nuisance to others. Everything covered in this unit makes sense simply because I as well believe the course book should serve as a mere guideline while creativity should prosper. I think it could be potentially easy to forget or overlook important aspects of a lesson that might be blatantly touched on in the book however. Using a creative and original strategy balanced with the guidelines of the book is probably the optimal method of teaching, as I have even been told by many long time teachers.
