At my school, testing is one of the most frustrating things because it is used so often. Testing and evaluation is extremely important, but my experiences have shown that testing that is done too frequently has some problems. However, you have to work within the school system you have. I frequently help students prepare for external testing, which has some benefits and problems as well. This is a topic I need to further refine my technique for dealing with. I have had some good experiences having students evaluate my courses as well. This feedback was useful in deciding what I needed to focus more on, versus what wasn't needed.
