This unit was very instructive. I liked being able to see the engage, study and activate stages in actual practice in the classroom. While I was watching the second video, it was neat to see how they flowed together to gradually build on the student's understanding that they gain in the class. I thought that the second lesson was effective and the first lesson was awful. The teacher's attitude with the class really makes all of the difference in learning. If the students feel like it is a safe place to make mistakes, they can make them and be corrected in a way that is most conducive to learning and digesting the concepts.
