From my personal experience, I recall, after studying this unit, the behaviour of an English teacher I know in his classroom. Now I can relate to that and see that every aspect of a teacher's intervention is carefully pondered. Teachers' habits in the classroom should follow the pattern provided on this unit. I can attest to the usefulness of the horseshoe seating formation, for example. It improves the ambient among students, even though it somewhat removes the teacher from the spotlight. Writing on the board whilst students are engaged in an activity is also good advice. However, it might distract students from their activity.
