The if clause contains the condition that has to be satisfied before the action in te main clause (result). Five main conditionals are: Zero- can use if or when with no change in meaning. First- talks about real situation in the future that is possible once that condition has been satisfied. Second- present or furores unreal situation that is presently not true and unlikely to be true. Third- hypothetical past result. Action was purely hypothetical, the condition could never have neem satisfied and subsequently the result us ir was impossible. Mixed- hypothetical past action or state and the hypothetical present consequence.
