This unit explores different materials, written and in electronic form, an English teacher can use in the classroom and how he/she can include them in his/her lesson planning. Materials are divided into authentic and non-authentic. Both types are examined in terms of their advantages and disadvantages for the teacher and for the students. Attention is paid to maintaining discipline in the classroom as this is important for the efficient use of the materials. The final section is a list of useful web sites an English teacher can visit to obtain free resources to use in the classroom. The links were my biggest gain from this unit.
