This unit discussed the different methods and techniques to teach English to students whose first language is not English. I particularly like the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) method. The ESA method allows the teacher to be flexible in his/her teaching. I especially like the \"Engage\" part in that students are actively involved in the lesson and that they are allowed to have fun. Students who have fun, will likely be motivated and will want to experiment with the language. I also feel like the unit did a good job in giving me ideas for each of the stages. I will definitely refer back to this unit during future lesson planning.
