This unit was very useful to get a general guideline on how to deal with various management problems. I especially liked the part on maintaining discipline because I find it hard sometimes, especially with young students. I also believe that it's something that is acquired with practice, patience and a lot of good will. We can follow guidelines, but every situation differs from the next one and the key is to be sensitive and firm while dealing with children. I find that being too nice is counter productive and being too strict is a disaster with sensitive children. I guess its a balance that needs to be applied on a daily basis.
