I have a better understanding of what is important when teaching a new language. Vocabulary is important in the early stages, a good range of vocabulary will set the student up to start using these words in sentences using correct grammer. When teaching grammer I need to make sure the student understands the word, how it is used, and how it is said and written in a grammatical form. Once they have this I can teach new language forms so the student can use the grammer to invite, agree, disagree, or suggest, and so on. To teach this I revert back to Unit 3, using the ESA, straight arrow approach or boomerang, or patchwork approach.
