This unit covers the different parts of speech in the English language, providing clear explanations of what each one is and examples of correct usage (as well as examples of incorrect usage). This unit gave me a great review of the parts of speech in the English language. As an assistant English teacher in Japan, even though this kind of material is covered in my classes, nearly all of it is explained in Japanese and isn't fully in-depth (because the material is being taught to junior high school students, so they mainly focus on the basics), so it's become easy to forget how to explain the parts of speech in English and in an in-depth manner. So this unit really helped me to refresh my knowledge of the parts of speech. In addition, it strengthened my knowledge of the parts of speech, especially with articles and prepositions. I agree with what's written in the unit: prepositions are probably the most difficult to explain because there aren't entirely set categories or rules about their usage. But as long as one remembers that they are words that describe the relation of a noun or pronoun to another word, and that they don't fit any other part of speech, then one can easily identify prepositions in sentences. (For example, in the sentence \"I ran across the lake,\" the word \"across\" is a preposition because it describes \"I\" in relation to \"lake,\" and it also doesn't fit into any other part of speech: it's not a noun, pronoun, article, verb, adjective, adverb, gerund, or conjunction.)
