The final chapter of the course covered some solutions for common problems faced in the EFL class, such as varying levels within a class, large class size, the use of the native language, reluctant speakers and so on. I found the example solutions helpful as I have already experienced every single one of these issues in my class. In particular, I liked the tips for large classes and reluctant speakers. While I already rely heavily on pair/group work, I don?t use role-play activities very often. I prefer my students to talk about themselves but I realize that this might be working against me. In future lessons, I will design more role-play speaking activities.
